differences between AUA and AUB engine

AUS A single coil pack , the BCB runs individual coil packs , you can just swop the rocker cover on them . Used a BCB because I had it

Using the 1.6 bottom end with the 100 bhp AUB top gains you torque .

Both the 1.4 and 1.6 engines use the same pistons , the 1.6 just has a longer stroke.
Rallycross boys were doing this 10 plus years ago in lupo’s

They don’t share a part number as far as I’m aware. For high revs these cars need back of piston lubrication using squirters. The high output AVY/ARC have this setup and from experience without this and higher outputs for the small blocks piston damage occurs.

It is not a high reving engine , AUA is soft cut at 5900rpm where the AUB is 6500rpm

You wouldn’t be running a hybrid on stock management, and the whole aim of using the 1.6 bottom end with the 1.4 sport head is to get more power at the highest point in the rev range as this is only way to make more power with a small engine revving to 7000-8000 is normally where these hybrid builds run.

Runs fine on the AUB ecu . With the 1.6 bottom end you gain torque. Unlike the 1.4 you can drive around at low revs and the car picks up .

The car pulls all the way through the rev range too.

With the 1.4 A2 gearbox tops out are 124mph

Never said it was the best setup .

Just a cheap conversation with parts laying about.

I have others cars that take up most of time .
