Dip Stick Issues

Evening all!
Having a few issues with my dipstick not seating correctly due to some sort of an obstruction / misalignment in the tube. If I remove the dipstick tube for an inspection, will oil come out or is the level of the oil in the engine sump below the mounting for the dipstick tube. Ideally not really looking to drain the engine oil.
Engine is an 1.4 petrol AUA.
Thank you

Chances are there will be a broken end of another dipstick stuck in there, when you drop the oil you will be able to remove it ?

You can safely remove the dipstick tube and will not lose any oil. There is a cloth heat shield to remove that is held in place with two press studs and then a single bolt holds the tube in place. You will also need to disconnect the corrugated filler pipe and dipstick pipe from the front flap by just pressing together two clips. It’s a simple job and and then you can check the whole assembly.

Worth checking the end of the dipstick isn't bent or cracked. Assuming it is not a different dipstick so it is correct for the engine. If it is damaged I know a man who can sort you out with 3d printed replacements.
