Disc handbrake cables?

This subject has been raised on here before and I've managed to confuse myself reading various threads so am asking here:

What is the best source for handbrake cables for a disc brake car (2005 tdi90 if it matters)? I've seen too many different lengths and brands mentioned to be sure which is right and I only want to buy once.

I know the front cable can only be sourced from AT or pre-owned but I don't think I need it.

My rhr brake binds if left parked with the handbrake on and the rear calipers were replaced in 2020 so my first suspicion is the cable.

I literally went on eBay and put ‘cheapest first’ and bought a pair for about 30 quid, they are fine. Even if they were a bit longer I can’t see it’d make much difference, it would just have a longer arc to the caliper.
