Do you mean the factory fit 6 disc Audi boot changer?

Also check the disc magazine is properly inserted. If it’s not been used for a while it might need pushing in, then ejecting a couple of times.

Tried it again today!put cassette in and out several times .It goes in and out ok at press of button.but still no luck.press button several times on radio unit but it just comes up no tape! Not a major problem but it would be nice to get working.

Do you have a CD in the disc unit?

No I don’t think so I can see something moves across at front top of disc holder but can Not hear any spinning noise and yet it is a Chorus head unit.thanks!

I have the same combination exactly as you.
Just make sure your discs are in the right way round, the magazine clicks into place, and the door is closed on the changer.
Then on your unit you press the CC/CD button to activate the changer, then the square buttons along the bottom of the unit change the discs.
The wheel on the right of the unit goes between the tracks on the individual cd's.
Sorry if you know all this already!, just checking you have done everything you should, before going on to looking for a real fault.

No it will not work!tried discs both ways.cassette push’s in ok and then I can see what appears to be a white plastic piece move across.so electrics are there .i close the door on the unit.press cc/cd button.just comes up no tape.tried several times. When we moved we through out all our tapes!! But at least we can have radio on??

Sorry to hear that!
when I’m next in midlands, I’ll try to pop over and look for you. Maybe to minds?!

If I get a long screwdriver and push the the little lever at front that fits the slot in the front of the cassette In the operating system the operating system tracks from front to back at each of what would be the 6 discs!but I can’t hear it doing that when I just push cassette in.probably a red herring! But thought I would mention it.

I know that they can be finicky, it could be it has just reached the end of its natural life span.
