i wonder if anyone knows if i can change my instrument cluster(complete unit)wich its basic orange and red lcd separated by a plastic tab,to a full FIS color one...will it work???

not without extra wiring for the DIS, there is an extra connector on the back of the instrument cluster

Agree Timmus is your man as he can retrofit a custom colour display into your existing instrument cluster - and install the extra wiring needed to activate all the extra functions. More info here -
