Dog bone mount

As the polo version is only £40 , this is a non starter sorry.
However spent an hour making up braided hoses for my front and rear calipers. Measured them up for my own make ultra light weight 6pots

Could be fun !

In my opinion the rubber inside the mount should be harder than it should for 1.4 tdi be because it is made for larger engines (1.8 - 1.9 tdi).

For the 1.4 tdi polo engines are these mounts:

I hadn't seen the 108779 part unti now :)

So is it 31083, 31113 or 108779 for a 1.4TDI90 ? :)

Replying to my own post I'd hazard a guess that 31083 is the nearest assuming that it quotes 6Q0199851AA where as 6Q0199851AP is 31113. AA covers the TDI90 looks like.

Cant seem to find 108779 is that the bracket?

edit: bought 31113 after all as it mentions 1.4TDI explicitly on the auction - and if you are quick today then ebay are doing 15% off from aceparts so you can get for under £31. Febi Dogbone mount ebay

I just got the 31113 polo mount for the 1.4 tdi engine

This should be fine for my 1.6 Fsi right?

Thanks

I was about to buy a second hand one from the e bay. Can you or anyone confirm that it will fit on a 1.6?

Many thanks

How much of a rush are you in? I’ve got a few orders outstanding at the moment so will be a few days Before removal. if you can wait, rather than guessing why not just buy a second hand FSI one off me or Clackers?

I'd argue buying a 2nd hand dogbone is false economy. They don't cost the earth for a polo and all you need to do is move the a2 mounting bracket across. A new mount makes a noticable difference to comfort

I mean I would rather a new one than a second hand one. Maybe I'm not being clear, the new polo one is not compatible with my 1.6. Can you point me to a polo dogbone that will fit the 1.6 FSI?

If not @A2Steve I am not in a huge rush. I will take you up on that offer. If its a week or a month from now no problem.

Yes but we are talking about an FSI one here and I don’t think there is a comparible one from the Polo. I’ll get the FSI one off the breaker and compare them side by side with a TDI one I have here. I’d like to know either way.
