I visited my local dealer (Peter Gilder Audi Sheffield) This morning as both my doors are cracked. I asked if they had recieved the bulletin which they had I then requested to book my car in for the work to be carried out. They went away for 10 min or so when they returned I was informed that they will undertake the work but it is not free and that they will send an estimate in the post?

Is this right have I read the statement incorrectly??

I have contacted Stansted Audi, and although my car is 2001 model, the service manager saw no problem, but did state no parts available till March but would contact me in the next few days.

If anyone encounters any problems, similar to those of R8SMV, please email or PM me and I will pass on the details in order to rectify things. I will need your full name, the name of the contact at the dealership and their position. The registration number and VIN number of your car may well be useful too.

The fix is entirely free of charge for all genuine cases on all UK-registered A2s, regardless of age or warranty status.

R8SMV, you have a PM.

Cheers,

Mike
