Chat Drivers Window Not Working

So just had lots of work to my A2 - general service, timing belt, clutch (first ever at 165k miles), alternator clutch pulley and a couple of other bits. It's been an expensive afternoon! Fab little independent garage did the work - but just got home and realised that the drivers window isn't working. The others are all fine and operate as normal.

None of the windows open when you press and hold the open button on the fob. All working fine before I dropped off the car.

Before I give the garage a call and have to take it back - anyone have any words of wisdom that may help. Would a reset work if one window doesn't open? Any other resets that need doing after major work?

TIA

They would have disconnected the battery to do the alternator pulley. Disconnect the negative terminal for 10 minutes and then re-connect. This should then reset the CCCU and the drivers window motor and things should start working again.

Fab - thank you, I'll give it a go in the daylight.

I suspect the keys have lost sync to the car due to the car battery disconnected.

Lock car, open drivers door using a key in the lock, immediately put the ignition key in and turn on to warning lights. Press the unlock button on the remote, turn off, exit car and close the door. Check to see if the remote now locks and unlocks the car. Do same again for other keys.
Go into the car and turn on the ignition to the warning lights. Using the window buttons on the drivers door hold each one in turn "up" for a second. This resets the one touch facility on the windows and will let the opening and closing on the remote buttons function again.

Thanks for your replies. Had a really busy weekend with lots of Remembrance services and events so though I'd try you suggestions this morning - only to find the battery was dead! Try again tomorrow....
