Drivers Window up and down

Hi My drivers window winds down every time. One touch and holding the switch. When I raise it again, it hesitates and goes back down, like it thinks somethings trapped in there. In then takes a few goes to get it up as it were. Sorry to be a pane, this isn't a wind-up, but wondered if anyone had encountered this and I can fix it before it gets stuck down. Can't think of anymore window puns either.

Unless there is something knackered in the regulator within the door, the likely solution is to give the tracks a good clean and then light lubrication with the window open. One of mine does this occasionally.

Hope that this is clear enough - I wanted to keep it glassy.

Thats great, thanks, I will take an in depth look when I have time. For now, I will clean the runners and go from there. There is no crunching noise at all, and the window is smooth in its operation. But a complete used frame etc would appear to be solution!
