Looks like you all had great fun despite the weather! however we had the same weather here in London and as I understand it pretty much all of UK too, but if I had the chance, I'd rather had been driving through it with you guys as opposed to being stranded indoors! :)

Looks like it was a grand tour. Sorry I couldn't join you all, a childcare hurdle prevented leaving the house.

Was the phone and post box still present?
The Streetview image https://goo.gl/maps/73UUWvRAptG2 is dated 2011 but I found an article date Dec 2015 https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/hikers-launch-bid-save-mountain-10663254 saying the phone box was planned for removal. Doesn't seem to be any house for miles and miles. Hardly likely to be a mobile signal.

Pretty sure it was. Remember thinking it odd to see these stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

Got home at 10.30 last night having thundered all the way down the M4 at 65mph. Totally knackered, but I had a great day, it was really enjoyable. Many thanks to @A2Steve and @A2Sam for organising it all, I hope your neck is better Sam! Thanks also to my better half Lynette for all her relaying of messages off the WhatsApp group because I have a fossil mobile phone! She's looking forward to meeting you all on the Scotland trip next year :) Can't wait for it!

Thanks to @A2Steve and @A2Sam as always for the organisation and enthusiasm to arrange the second event of the year. It was a pleasure to meet friends old and new and to spend time in your company. Kieran especially enjoyed his time as co-pilot to @alanb - thanks Al.

The weather wasn't the best, but it didn't dampen the spirits - once again, thanks all.

Great to see your gang again - soory i couldn't grab more time for a beer. Next time, maybe.

Kieran and I had fun in the afternoon, but I must say both of your children are great fun to chat to and so nice that they come along.

Very kind pal - humbled. Kieran hasn’t stopped talking about his new mate. Good to see you as always - hope you can make ADI.

Really glad you you enjoyed it despite the weather :) I’m so glad you and so many others could come. Still a bit gutted I didn’t get to see more of you all, the Scotland trip can’t come quick enough.

Awww bless your two D, they’re such lovely kids, so sweet and easy to talk to, they are a credit to you and Di! Give them a cwtch from me!

Thanks Ian @Proghound , glad you made it home safe and sound. Lovely to meet you.

Bless you - very kind @A2Sam - sentiment reciprocated to you, Steve and the gang. Hope you are feeling better again today and sorry you couldn’t make the days activity - though you definitely made the correct decision.

Lol, defo not on the social, but the weather has been quite nice either side of the weekend....well, forgiving the odd downpour! Still getting plenty of use out of my OSS :-D #workingBeautifully

So I’ve finally got back from the weekend tonight after diverting to Hastings for Work Purposes now back in the north west 1000 miles more on and clock and 1 kerbed newly refurbished alloy through no fault of my own

What a day it was on Sunday not only was it great to meet some great ppl during the day for general chit chat but was also good to put the A2 world to rights over a few beers with Darren Dave and obviously Steve

Can’t wait for the next
