Driving in France

If you are it's advisable to get an emissions sticker (Vignette Crit'Air). If you don't have one while driving in an ever increasing number of French cities, you'll likely be fined €58 every time you are caught. They cost less than €5 and can be used for the life of the vehicle. Which sticker you get is determined by the year of registration, not your emissions. So a pre-2006 EU4 car will get a EU3 sticker! Even fully electric cars need one. Available here:

Use Google Translate if necessary. You will need a pdf of pages 2 & 3 of your V5. Scan at 200dpi to meet the file size restriction.

Hi !
But there is a catch ! Most of VAG vehicules (audi, skoda, vw, seat) can be from 2003 and earlier and comply with euro4.
Most of the time, people just look over the model year but that's not that simple.
I have read on an other forum, a guy achieve to get a crit'air 2 (euro 4) instead of a crit'air 3 for an audi TT V6 250 from 2003.
He managed to get the certificate of conformity which tell the right gas emissions.
having crit'air2 instead of crit'air3 makes a huge difference as all the crit'air3's car will be banned soon from major cities in France....

And my concern is about the a2, I have discovered that the 1.6 FSI 110 is crit'air3
I have found a very good 2003 model (not bought yet) but I think it is the same story as the Audi TT V6.

They are both Euro 4, if that helps.

We spend quite a lot of time in France (with our crit air sticker!) A surprisingly large number of French cars do not have said sticker which rather begs the question of how they are enforcing the notice.

A marketing opportunity for Mr Khan?
Mac.

I was there a month ago and only saw 2 cars with crit air in collioure

The goal and the idea behind this sticker is to force people to buy new cars but most of the people dont know about this sticker and even if they have one, they dont know why…
Most of the cities are going back or try to get time because no one is really ready.
