Dune MK2 - A2Steve

@SteveA2 will you be going down the rear back silver skirt look?

Kinder off topic but do you know if there are any VAG roof rails that would fit the dune or anybody else's A2 to give a sleeker aero fit?

Yes I’ll be using a Dacia rear skid plate on the rear. The roof rails were something that was brought up when I did the first Dune. It may yet happen but at the moment the factory bars will suffice.

Could you share exactly what springs etc required to make this change in car height?
Do you need to change dampers too?
I am so tired of my A2 getting stuck due to being too low when I back out of my garage (with a un-level floor edge at the garage port).

Steve

great to hear that this is progressing nicely, you absolutely deserve it for you efforts.

Clean headlights fitted from BB with HID bulbs

195/65/15 Hankook winter tyres fitted on 15 inch steel wheels with 20mm spacers. Positively glides over uneven surfaces and should be quite good fun should we have some snow. The rear end runs a lot higher than this but it’s parked on quite a gradient.

@A2Steve, still a bit interested in what parts you used, sorry to nag ?.

Now seeing it under the better lighting of the works car park I think it really suits the style I’m going for.

I’m looking for a nice set of Audi 80 wheel trims next, an LED light bar at the front and then a couple of roof mounted bike racks for the kids bikes and it should be looking pretty good.
