Personally I would prefer the 13/14 as it's not a B/H weekend so hopefully less traffic and better deals for an overnight stay

Looking to be quite a turnout for this event with 25 cars confirmed already. At such an early stage that's very promising. I've tagged those on the forum who have shown an interest, so if you could just confirm your attendance on the registration at the top of the page that would be appreciated.

I'll start looking to see if any of the pubs in the local area can accommodate the numbers, otherwise it will be picnics at the top of a montain

I think that as I'm an A2 down and I'm not sure I'd trust Barney with such a long journey, I may have to give it a miss this time I'm afraid. Will definitely be there next year if you go again

Evening all

It's been a year or two since i've run a driving social and wondered if there was any appetite for a run through the Elan Valley in mid Wales, with a pub lunch.

We've done this trip as part of a larger tour of Wales in 2018 and everyone really enjoyed the scenery. I'm hoping that delaying until the middle of May will also see some nice weather to enjoy it.

If you fancy coming along, please reply here, i'm just looking for numbers at the moment and if it looks like a go-er i'll make the arrangements with Teresa as social secretary.

The roads shown below will be part of the route taken so you'll get to see Wales in all its beauty.

The Elan Valley is located at LD6 5HP to give you an idea of it's location.
