Electric Window Switches wear and tear

I notice in my new A2 that the drivers side electric window button/ switch is very worn and the white acrylic is well and truly grinning through. Similarly on the + and - on fan speed on climate control.

I have seen some dubious stickers online and wonder what others may have done, or is it best to replace switches from another A2 or other model?

TIA

The best way is to replace the switches, just ask on here and one of the kind members will soon sort you out ?

As said, replace the switches. I got mine via Ali Express, from China, but took a while to arrive. Work fine.

The earlier cars (pre-2002 model year - so W,X,Y reg) had hard-touch switches and climate units which didn't have the soft paint issues, and stay mint forver. You can swap out a worn soft-touch climate unit, headlight switch and the pair of drivers window switches for hard-touch ones, but you won't find a hard-touch passenger window switch compatible with the wiring connector in your passenger doorcard. Ask me how I know ;) Although there are some soft-touch single switches with the earlier style icon (to match the hard touch drivers switch), that take the later connector and you might just find a good one. The ASR button on the centre console, and the alarm and fuel flap switches on the driver's B-pillar can also be found in hard-touch.

Sorry ... [/geek-out] ?

Thank you. The drivers side is the worst and the headlight one might as well be white circle ?
Thanks for the knowledge ??

If you look on Fleabay there are alternative light switches with c9ming home function and also bluetooth controlled functions. The downside is you have to cut out the circle with legends on. There is also available an aluminium trim ring, just in case your cirle is a bit ragged!
