Electric window won’t fully close with wind deflector installed

Hey there.

I’ve got 3 out of 4 installed and everything is fine. However drivers side seems to go in. All be it tightly. But when it gets to about an inch -inch and a quarter from the top. It just comes straight back down.

Is the deflector too snug and need filing down perhaps? Or is it installed incorrectly?

Since then I’ve had intermittent issue with the window getting 5mm from the top and then coming down again. I have to close the window now in two stages.

Any ideas?

Happy new year everyone.

Hi bud. I had similar. Did you warm it up first? When it was cold mine wouldn’t take the needed shape. Also, some silicone polish on top o the window helped. It rarely bounces now for me but my mum’s corsa bounces most of the time too - still.

I’ve not warmed it up before no. I can get it in the window. But I will try the silicone polish for sure.
Thanks.

Mine went on okay but the metal clips didn’t work for me at all so the window pushed it up a little further and I left it to reshape for a day. The door runners were very stiff because it was cold so I waited for a sunnier day and put on some rubber treatment and when I tried again it was much better and the door rubbers moulded to the shape of the window and deflector much more readily.
