eml light on after fan belt change

hi could any one tell me how to remove the engine light symbol, this only came on recently when the fan belt shredded and i replaced it with a new goodyear gator fanbelt, engine runs sweet so i know theres know problems, i was just wondering if i could remove the light as im looking to sell the car now and it looks bad with the light on, gutted it came on last week after belt change, thanks guys

Hi,

You can't just turn the light off, and if it's the EML that's on, then there IS an issue somewhere.

You need to have the car scanned for faults.

I agree, it's better not to sell the car with the EML - so best bet is to fix whatever is causing the issue.
