EML warning light problem please help!!

Hi All
Yesterday I picked up Herman (2001 A2 petrol), hes great I love him! But this morning I have got up to him flashing me EML! some times it flashes some times it just stays on!
It did go off after i had been driving around for abit, stop and started the engine a couple of times. Could he have just been cold? or is there a problem and i have been ripped off?? :confused:

welcome to a2oc Sarah--can i hazard a guess that you got the car from a dealer? did they valet the car before you picked it up?
i reckon it could just be some moisture in a sensor or plug that has now dried off.fingers crossed it doesn't come back on.keep us informed and hope you enjoy your new car.

@Sarah, if it persists you should contact Mike (Skipton01) - he's not that far from you and he'll be able to help diagnose any issues I'm sure.
