Hi, the engine on my TDI seems to cut out. It's not that noticable when driving slowly but as soon as I hit 3000 rpm and above there seems to be a misfire / knock........ It's hard to explain! Any ideas?

Hi, the engine on my TDI seems to cut out. It's not that noticable when driving slowly but as soon as I hit 3000 rpm and above there seems to be a misfire / knock........ It's hard to explain! Any ideas?
It could be anything from a dirty fuel filter or turbo boost leak to a faulty injector wiring loom. More symptoms and info in this thread - http://www.a2oc.net/forum/showthread.php?t=15189&highlight=wiring+loom

Spike, thanks alot........ It turned out to be the Fuel Filter! The car was supposed to have been serviced when I bought it from the UK but apparatly not. I had to get the filter off ebay as the local Audi dealer did not have it in stock and neither did any German car parts sockists on the Island! The audi dealer said that it would be 3 weeks before it would arrive so orderd from ebay and had it in hand in 3 days! Well, as I said.Thanks for your help
