Engine Management system light

hi all,

last night i drove from aberdeen to edinburgh and today drove back again but as i came back the light for the Engine Management system came on,what does this mean? im phoning to audi tommoro but since i bought the car 2 months ago its already had the starter motor changed at a local garage as they said thats why it sometimes it doesent start, but this never changed anything as for example i had to try about 15 times to get the car started this morning to get back to aberdeen...so could this cause the light to come on now?

You really need a diagnostic scan as there are many different faults which would cause the light to come on. The scan may also identify the cause of the poor starting.

thanks for that :)

i posted before about the poor starting problem, the guy at my garage said that he did a scan and no problems came up (thats when there was no light on) but still was problem to start,is he probably not knowing what he is doing? im calling audi to have a look as im still under a guarntee so its not costing me anyway
