Thanks Kraig22, I have just fitted this mount too. Certainly calmed things down a bit, the old one was totally collapsed. Fitted this part no problem, I also removed the support bar and refitted the retaining nut without it.

If you look at the mount in question in a Tdi there is a cylindrical support bar bolted to the mount that runs down towards the starter motor somewhere. The attachment point for this is not present in the alternative replacement gearbox mount part.
