Hi all,

I have an error on my Audi A2 1.6fsi (2003 / 114540 KM).

Have yout got an idea of the defaut origin ?

In advance, I'm sorry for my english, but you are the only forum that I know where there is many experts to exchange and progress to resolve the problem.

Over to our FSI gurus

I check response on internet and I found a defaut around the MAP Sensor.

I order a new one to be sure that the motor runs well.

Can you confirm the position of this on my BAD motor ?

Is it possible to clean this sensor or I have to change it ?

Sorry I missed this yesterday and so busy today have little time.

I assume you have checked Ross-Tech thoughts on P0107 here..

As to the location of G71 these two diagrams will help.

Many thanks, I will try this weekend to change the captor. My wife says to me that she did not perceive a change in the motor behavior.

I have change the captor

The captor is behind the motor and it is difficult to access.

But I still have the default ?

This might be useful:

Hi,

By captor I assume you mean what we call a sensor/sender.

No cure and money spent on a G71 not a good outcome.

You ask about location of the F96, unless it has escaped my attention I suggest it is not present on the A2 BAD engine, unless anybody knows better.

Looking at Ross-Tech's possible causes of P0107 I notice air leaks. Check the integrity of the dipstick and oil filler cap (top of engine) seals as these are known to cause problems and further the rubber tube from the oil filler cap, paying particular attention where it may be rubbing on any other bit of hardware.

Hi

Excuse me, in fact I change the sensor G71. Il would give photos to complete and share to the community but the resolution is too high....

I will check as soon as possible your recommandation and come back to us.

Hi

As mentionned in my previous post, I share with you the fotos to change this captor :

Despite the change of this captor, I still have the defect and today I have a new one : P1031

If you have an idea to solve these defaults

@GFE

Good Evening,

I am somewhat unsure about the photos, can I suggest you add a commentary for each picture explaining what you are showing and where, thanks.

The new code P1031 is bad news and is flagging the flaps in the lower intake manifold are not working correctly for some reason. There is a LOT of information on here about P1031 being a well known weak point of our FSI engine. This is one such thread, starts off with old posts but progresses over the years.

A good way to find others is to search with Google with something like 'a2oc fsi p1031'.

Photo #4 : these photo present the location oft the captor below the car
Photo #1 : these photo show the originial captor
Photo #2 et #3 : these photos show the tube when I remove the captor

Good Evening,

Sorry for the time to reply but it is a difficult time for me just now.

Thank you for the photo commentary.

Photo 1

I see your old sensor was a Bosch with part number 036906051G. This surprised me as I have only seen the sensor with a part number ending in F used on the A2 FSI. Bosch do not seem to make a F version and for the G version Bosch do not include our A2 FSI in the the list of compatible vehicles, curious. What is part number of your new sensor and made by who?

Photos 2-6

I have not replaced the sensor but have replaced the N316 valve which is just above it and I worked from the top of the engine. I thought you would do likewise and photos of the bottom of the engine rather threw me, but all is clear now and you have done it so all's well.

You're wright. I change my original G71 sensor for a 036906051G and not a 036906051F version :/

On Amazon, the Febi 44242 is confirmed for my Audi A2 1.6 FSI but it not the good one.

Il will change for this one : https://www.piecesauto24.com/delphi/11916420

Il will change too the N316.

Thanks for your insight ;)
