ESP Sensor

Hi All, my 2005 TDI has developed a fault in the ESP sensor causing ABS failure and the associated lights on the dash. According to the Audi diagnostics check the ESP unit has developed an internal fault. Does anyone have one available that is known to work? Audi want best part of £1k to fix which seems a bit much! Many thanks, David

There's no ESP sensor as such; ESP uses the ABS system so you either have a fault with an ABS sensor or the ABS unit. A scan with VCDS will tell you what's wrong.

Many thanks for the input; a replacement yaw sensor is on it's way. I'll update once this has been fitted. David

Hi All,

Just an update to say that the replacement yaw sensor did the trick.
All for £20 and half an hour of my time.
As opposed to a quoted £960.00 at Audi.
A bit of a fiddle as a bit awkward, but otherwise fine.
Thanks for the assistance.

Bargain!
Well done David, I did warn you about the fiddly bit!
