Does anyone happen to have a 1.4 petrol A2 on a lift or stands at the moment?
If so, any chance of measuring the diameter of the exhaust pipe, please?
I need to order a straight piece of exhaust tubing to temporarily de-cat Bluey now his cat has been stolen. Without an awkward jacking manoeuvre I’d rather only do once to fit it, it means the only way to measure the exhaust is by rolling round in the carriageway of the A40, which isn’t my idea of fun!

Don't quote me on it, but a quick look for 1.4-compatible exhaust parts (mostly coming up with Flexis) suggests 45-46mm internal diameter? Obviously I'm not an expert but wonder if that could be indicative.

That is suggesting it will be the same time e as the tdi which is 50mm outside diameter. I know this for a fact as I have had to join the tdi exhaust post cat after the flexi pipe I had to replace

To be honest that is what I expected. Should always be a size down on the tdi for the same size petrol engine
