Fan isn't switching off

My wife has just phoned to say the fan has come on and now wont switch off. I asked her to check the temp gauge and its not overheating so I'm guessing its a electrical problem somewhere? I can't do anything until I get home and have a look (no doubt the battery will be flat). Anybody got any suggestions on what to look for? Any help appreciated, Best regards, Mark

Looks verry like you will need a new fan control box. This is right on top of the fan. And there is a newer better version, which will not cause any vibrations anymore.

Expensive? something I can do myself? I got my wife to take the 20amp fuses out one by one, but still the fan didn't go off? which fuse is it?

Quickest way of doing the job, is to ask the wife to disconnect the battery - the spanner needed is next to the battery in the boot (unless you have Bose).

Simply unscrew the black lead a couple of turns and move it out of the way, this will at least protect the battery from going flat.

Cheers,

Mike
