Fantasy Grand Prix 2009

Far from the Brawn procession it seemed to be at first, this season is shaping up to be a classic.

Sad as it is to see one of the 'nicest' drivers taken out so randomly, it
does serve to remind us all what a dangerous sport this is. It has also raised the distinct possibility of a certain German returning toa Ferrari seat!!!

Bourdais gone (replace him if he's in your team), Piquet about to join him, Renault being banned for 1 race, you couldn't write stuff like this!

There's a small shuffle at the top of our league too, but I'll leave that for our supremo to announce.

Interesting times indeed. . . .

Cheers

mike

I had said at work on monday that they would get him back untill Massa is fit to race, its a good job he's been keeping himself active on Top gear LOL

Hello Chaps

iTS THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN ....
I Have been looking around on the web i would like to run another season
for 2010 of F1 Fantasy GP for the A20C .......

I Was just wondering if anyone would be interested in entering again this year
if i set a league up ......

This season has the makings of being one of the greatest seasons ever so
it would be a shame if we dont enter again ....

The only problem is i have been looking around the site we used last year
but it has not been updated and i dont think there running it again this year .....

What we need is a game that is firstly FREE and secondly enables us to run our own league
within that league i have been looking around for a few days but i was just wondering if anyone out there had seen anything that may be of use to us .......

I Have a couple of options but some of them are a pig to setup
and some are fairly complicated meaning picking cars and drivers for every race .....

So any ideas very welcome ......

found this one http://vimeo.com/9278664

Cheers Carlos

Nice to see you're on the case again Race Master - I'm up for another season of A2OC Fantasy Racing.

You think the site used last year might be around in a couple of weeks or so? 15th March is the first race I think, so there's a little time yet!

Cheers,

Mike

PS Agreed, 2010 is going to be one heck of a season.

Im not sure im wondering if there not going to continue because of all the new teams
entering this year i think they inherited that game last year from Virgin media website the year before as it had all the same setup ........

A Lot of the fantasy GP Games are holding back as teams like Campos and USF1gp team and Stefan have not definatly been entered yet ....

It was a nice site to use though and easy to setup a private league ill give it a week but i dont want to leave it to late this year ......

Thanks for offering to get this going again WoolyA2, I'm up for a 3rd season of A2OC F1 action!

Cheers,

David

You can count us in we are both massive F1 fans, would have entered last year but did not come in A2 ownership till half way through the season.

Hi Lisa it would be great if you could joinus this year both you and the other half could enter ......

Im still looking around but quite like the look of this site .......

The good thing is there is a choice of 2 strategies so you could choose the same drives all year or change your drivers for each race this is how it works .....

How to Play - Updated for 2010

There are 2 options when creating your Fantasy Racers team in 2010.

Strategy 1 is very similar to that used in 2009. A starting budget of 40.0m, and unlimited changes to your driver line-up throughout the year. This allows you to refine your team of drivers for each race, and possibly benefit from their changing values as the season unfolds.

Strategy 2 is geared towards those that would prefer to show a bit of loyalty towards their drivers. Once the cut-off for the first race passes, all changes to the driver line-up will be frozen for the duration of the competition. Only where the driver has left the series will you be able to draft in a replacement. The reward for adopting this strategy will be a starting budget of 45.0m, 5.0m higher than Strategy 1

What do you think guys might be more interesting ......

The pre-requisites really are that the game is free to play, is updated regularly, and we can have our own mini league.

If it ticks these Carl, go for it and let battle commence.

Cheers,

Mike

Yeah me too.

This year I might read the rules thoroughly though first :p

Not that I'm competitive in any way shape or form at all :D

Looks good to me personally i think the pick your drivers at the start of the season plus stops us having to update constantly.
