Finally . . .

Well,

After a very long and increasingly weary search for my ideal A2 - I finally compromised and went for a Silver TDi sport 75 model with grey leather - instead of the black or red leather 90 model that I just couldnt find anywhere (Im now fully prepared to see heaps for sale now - like busses eh?).

The reason for my compromise was partly down to my frustration and impatience (6 months is long enough methinks) plus my wife is expecting our second child soon  so I was aware I was running out of time).

You will probably all have seen the Revo'd A2 on Autotrader - well thats the one I decided to go for after a lot of final checks to make sure!

Anyway, suffice to say that Im a very happy chappy indeed - bought it from a dealer in Sussex and drove it all the way back to edinburgh in one fell swoop - apart from lunch and dinner, not an ounce of tiredness/fatigue at all - just a very pleasurable driving experience - the bose system, sport suspension and revo tweak to 110 kept me smiling all the way back up to Scotland :D , still can't believe its a diesel, it was like a mini-TT, yes perhaps I am sad - but each to their own I say.

Lastly - having just upgraded to an O2 Xda Orbit I got the free SatNav software which was easy to use and very accurate . . .

Thanks to all who have helped me along the way with my plethora of questions - all I need to do now is buy a Waranty

Cheers,

Chris.

Nice one! I've been thinking about that car for a while, but I've since installed FSDs so I couldn't be bothered. Glad you're happy with the car and new phone too! I used to own the XDA Mini S and it sits perfectly in the cup holder acting as a GPS. I now have the Orbit and it doesn't sit there as nice (too thin). Now I open the coin tray, leave the orbit sideways sitting there instead. I'm working on a mounted solution, modding a fitted metal case from PDAir. Hopefully can mout it just above the center air vents.

no bodykit - just looks like a standard sport . . . but with a bit more grunt

I got the car mount kit with the xda - so it sits nicely in the cradle stuck on to the drivers front quarterlight.n I believe you can actually get them seperately too - same with a vent mount?

Cheers,
