Fitting Audi front stowage console

If that includes all the fittings Louis it is a reasonable price to pay for a new one.

The standard A2 audio is very good, just as good as the Bose although the Bose can be cranked up with no distortion and has that extra sub bass feeling and seems a bit clearer on the high end.

So, i would suggest DIS first, then Bose after.

The two SD cards on the RNS E hold a total of 64 GIG of music, I think I already have some Guns and Roses tracks. ;)

Amongst the others I have, Gansta's Paradise is a good track to demo the base

But on the journey I often play Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds"

For fun I put on the track of the "Honda Customer service call" which is a hoot!!!

Think I'll leave my car at home and travel with you haha

Thanks for the fitting guide, easy to follow and a very nice upgrade to my interior in under 10 minutes.

I highly recommend this mod as it only improves the driving experience with added storage close to hand. Somewhere for your phone when charging it? That's if you're not using a X-Carlink or similar to charge from 'inside' the dash.

There is a soul black one for sale on eBay, although pricy I'm sure they seller (breakers yard I think) would drop the price if you inform them that these are only £40 new from Audi. You should be able to snap this up for no more than £20-30 delivered. I know you would probably struggle to find one of these in stock at Audi but they will hopefully not know that.

Thanks again,

I've just bought a beige rear cupholder from the Audi A2 club-dealer in Germany. Got a quote for € 93,40 minus 10% discount, makes € 84,06 + 20% tax : € 100,87. So that is about GBP 75.

Can you confirm the part number for the twist rear cup holder. I might well be tempted if I can do a deal!

Does anyone know if this part is still available anywhere? A quick search on eBay and a breaker's website suggests not.

The single tray version is no longer available from Audi. Your only option is the used market either here or eBay etc. They were only provided at production on new cars with double din head units to compensate for lack of cubby storage and thus quite rare. They are much sought after for their useful storage but they do crop up from time to time, but my impression is if one becomes available on here you have minutes to buy it and it will not be cheap!

There is another available version of the tray, the multi compartment version that Tom at CreweAudi offered earlier in the year; if he has any left you will have to ask. In the link below there are several posts about the tray if you scroll down.

Thanks for the info Andy. I didn't know the reasons why the handbrake storage trays were made available or standard with the double din cars.

That's actually got me thinking about the percentage of A2,s sold in the UK with a double din.

apology for resurrecting an older thread but is this the same removal area for the airbag ecu?:)
Thanks in advance! (I'm clueless but trying to learn so please forgive me if stupid question!) Can't learn if you don't ask! :)

@kel The airbag control module is under the hand brake so all the center console has to come out. Why are you asking?

Need to replace module.. happy to pull trim off and mechanic do a 10minute job replacement as I m weary of airbag system plus can’t do without car ?

@kel How do you know the airbag module is duff? Have you had a full VCDS scan done on the car and not a generic reader?

Intermittent faults are always a PITA. Have you tried clearing it? Does it come back immediately? Other than the scan what are the other symptoms? Dash warning light perhaps.
