Fog-light project

Indeed. I've done a few of the Osram conversions. The LEDriving units are a millimetre-perfect fit into the back of the fog lights. The results is a factory-standard appearance on the outside but DRL and fog light functionality.

Hi Tom,
Having witnessed your ingenuity with a DIS replacement and capabilities with a Cruise Control installation, do you still offer this Osram Foglight upgrade?
Regards
Michel

Hi Michel,

I've not done an Osram foglight conversion in a while, but I'm certainly happy to do it again. :)

Cheers,

Tom

Thank you for the response. Fog Lights / DRL's are on my bucket list. Reading up it's interesting to note that, "modern", cars are using less - no fog lights since the,"modern headlights", make them redundant. Lots to think about and do.

The lighting on the A2 is pretty poor by modern standards. The fog lights are a benefit and when used incorrectly do fill in some dark areas when using standard bulbs. HIDs are far better but require beam adjust and the ability to be washed for current MOT regulations. Dual function LED DRL and fogs combined is the best (probably) option. When you say modern cars do not have fog lights that is because many manufacturers now build them into the headlights, my A4 and A1 being 2 recent examples. There are many more out there.
