Forum updated

I get that but i'm certainly not the most prolific poster on here by far.
Sorry we seem to be at cross purposes. Post #4 in this thread is Steve's original request and the way I read it Steve would like a way of filtering out 'likes' (& 'quoted' as I guess) from 'latest activity', leaving notification of only new posts in the general forum and the marketplace, viewable in one place.

Using 'latest activity' was the way I used to monitor new posts in the old forum but it quickly became impractical and I have changed, so I can sympathise with Steve with his strong interest in the marketplace, but I would not want to merge the current general forum new posts with the separate new posts within the marketplace.

So, to clarify:

It's not possible to remove the likes from the latest activity (which customising the functionality). However...

The main What's New (Lightening bolt in compact view), gives new post in main forums:

The Market > What's New gives new posts in Market forums:

I think the second link should be what's desired here. I've also added this to the compact menu (the Car icon) for those who only have a mobile. Hope this helps.

Thanks Ben, a great option. Only comment, It's long and dominates the menu bar but I suppose once everybody is used to it then it can be shortened to '? Market'.

Oh dear, 'New Market Posts' has vanished, just when I had got used to using it (iPad), very convenient it was. Any chance of having it back?

Does 'Market' -> 'New Posts' not give the same result as the previous shortcut?

Yes, it does indeed, I assume you mean the drop down box to the right of Market, but it is a two click process as opposed to the one click shortcut of the last few days and for me with my iPad interface it is impractical to use anyway. At normal magnification it is very difficult to select the down arrow, the size of the screen touch generated by my index finger is far larger than the the drop down arrow and I rarely succeed in selecting it, crashing into Media or Market by accident. If I have to select a down arrow I have the faff of two finger magnification, then select down arrow, select, and another two finger shrink back to normal size. It is easier to select Market and once landed pick New Posts, which I have been doing for the last year since the forum update.

No big deal, it was just convenient.

Rather than introduce yet another navigation icon to the full screen view, I've made the Market link go straight to What's New instead.

This does mean the individual sections now have to be selected using the Market submenu items. And some may argue that this creates the same problem for these. Thoughts?

Thanks Ben, works a treat. - Andy

Thanks Ben, whilst I appreciate it may cause confusion initially, I think for those that use the MarketPlace frequently it is better this way around.
