Front axle from A1/Polo 6R

While searching for information regarding the rear axle I found an interesting thread on Dutch forum for the A2:

Does anyone tried with this modification on their A2? I find it as an alternative for front console broken threads and hard-to-get front wishbones ...

This was raised on the German site / A2-wiki and mentioned over here a year or so ago with reference to the PQ25 platform that uses this front subframe and wishbones from the Polo / A1.
