Any one know where to get a front O2 sensor for my 1.4 petrol A2???
All I can find are new ones that cost 115+.... Not a happy bunny here!
Starting to call round all the UK scrap yards lol
Any help/advice appreciated

Im afraid thats the going rate for a genuine item. Its probably false economy buying a used one as they are a commonly replaced part just like spark plugs. You can get cheaper alternatives from places like eurocarparts or gsf but the general consensus is that you are better off forking out for the genuine item.

£130 would be about right for a branded one like Bosch. I don't think they cost differently to what Audi charges. The cheapest is a generic lambda probe for about £40. But you will need to wire your own plug and get the correct 4 or 5 wire version. I wouldn't bother with used item as they are a little bit like consumables. Think of them as clutch, brake pads and cambelt, they all have limited life. I believe mine is on the way out too, but since I use Shell v-power, the fault doesn't come up.

I agree with the posts above - that seems about right for the sensor and there's no way I'd install a used one - you're looking at a probe that has to sit in the (very hot) exhaust gas flow, which will over time cause it to fail. Fitting a 2nd hand/ used one means you will have no idea as to its underlying condition and it's more likely to fail more quickly, which will cost you more in the long run as you have to replace it again sooner.

I'd suggest just replace it with a new one and don't worry about it.

Thanx for the info  guess I will ask audi how much they cost there now... but the best quote so far is 115 ( not sure if that was VAT included tho)
I will stay clear of a second hand 1 for now...
