Front speaker grills

One of my front door speaker grills is cracked and I have a replacement on order. Has anyone replaced these before and if so, how does it go? The dealer tells me that they either clip in or are hot welded. (these are not the Bose grills).

They just clip in, we had a broken one when we first got our A2 got the part from Audi.
