FSI fuel

Hello,
the climate panel lights up and I can select temperature and fan speed but the fan is not spinning. I think that the guys at the garage already tried this, the fan does not get the electrical signal.... that's why I was hoping that it was a fuse but I can't identify the fuse on the Garman-only fusebox lid. Just to try... Thanks

Fuse 16 30A "heater blower" is likely to be the one you want.

Thank you steve_c for the info I was seeking, I've tried to replace the n.16 30A but it was intact and changing it obviously didn't make any change. I'll wait for the spare electronic control unit to arrive from Audi.
Best

I'm guessing that the Control Unit doesn't switch the high current fan supply direct? If so, there is a relay of some kind, between the CU and the fan. I don't have the circuit schematic to check, unfortunately.
Mac.

yes I am a doctor and I don't find that it is necessary to be alarmed. There are lots of unofficial 'scientific' entities with magniloquent names that will spread alarming figures about just anything, especially if this involves a condemnation of the automobile and the promotion of the use of bicycles everywhere. The article you quote about pollution vs. coronavirus comes from the Guardian, not exactly a friend of the automobile, and it says, obviously halfway through the article, that "...The research has not yet been peer-reviewed and shows only a correlation." From the scientific point of view, therefore, it is obviously worthless. So why alarming people about this possible but not yet examined correlation? Probably to prepare just another offensive against the automobile.

Well just put Covid19 and pollution into Google:

Still believe such claims are worthless?

Going back to the cars climate issue. Does the fan speed bars rise then immediately fall or just never indicate anything? Could be the blower motor has seized or the resistor has failed. Does the RADIATOR fan turn when climate is selected and the engine running? Does the system contain enough refrigerant? You have not selected ECON? The compressor is working? I take it the system was functional before is so high chance just needs regassing after checking for leaks and faulty components.
A VCDS scan could highlight issues you are not aware of with the climate ( and the rest of the car ). A bit like a car version of an MRI scan.

Note that the radiator fan will not run if the system senses that refrigerant pressure is low. This does not necessarily mean that there is insufficient refrigerant; the pressure sensor may have failed. The sensor can be changed without releasing refrigerant. As Audifan states, a VCDS scan will reveal what is at fault. Lack of pressure would suggest a leak; the condenser is the most likely culprit. If any components are changed, also change the dryer.
