Filters on the diesel and petrol cars are in different places. On the diesel,you need to remove the heatshield material before you can see the filter. On early cars (I think it changed around 2003) the filter can is held in place with a wire clip but the whole filter head, complete with can and pipework needs to be removed to do this. hi spike, thanks for your reply, have had the car 2 years + always do the servicing myself but have never changed the fuel filter as i have never known where to locate it, this site was a great find for me!!!!!!!! cheers rambo123
