Fuel low warning light stuck on

Oddly my fuel warning light won't go off. Driven about 30 miles since last fill up.
Gauge shows I have a full tank but dash lighting up and loud beep when I start showing the low fuel warning.
Any ideas what would cause that?
Level sensor must work if the gauge shows a full tank surely?

Hi Audiobull,

I have only seen an issue like this once before, on an A2 belonging to @johnyfartbox. In his case, the low fuel warning light would come on when the tank got to half empty / half full. The issue was caused by a fault on the instrument cluster motherboard, which I fixed.

Have you seen this...?

If you're able to meet me in Leighton Buzzard in June, I should be able to help.

Kind regards,

Tom

I have also heard of this issue being caused by a faulty fuel level sensor on a motorcycle. Don't know how easy it is to test what the sensor is putting out.
