Hi All, Just thought I'd put up all information with reference to Fuses.

Hope it helps someone, as when you get a dead/faulty circuit it usually means you need to find and rectify the problem quickly/urgently, therefore having this on the forum means that they can look it up and fix the issue quickly, without waiting for one of us to respond to them. ;)

Cheers

Different Fuses (But still cant fix my Low Beam)

Hi Sarge,

Thanks for the info, been really useful and I now know why my 12v Lighter socket didnt work (Blown Fuse!) :D

Thing is I also have a Fuse fitted in socket No.21 and wondered if you or anyone else might know where this goes to? Sorry for having to ask but my A2 didnt come with any Books at all so I m a bit in the dark.

Talking of the Dark, this was the reason I started to look at the fuse box as my Low Beams (BOTH) aren't working. I have even taken the headlamp out and the bulb and the filament is fine. I also tested it on a 12v battery charger and it illuminates fine too.

Some of the fuses seem to relate to the headlamps (22 - 27) but as i say my bulbs seem ok and they BOTH went at the same time.

Any ideas if there is a local fuse inside the headlamp or something?

I did post a Headlamp Low Beam Prob but mentioned I thought I had HID's but taking out the headlamp today, it didnt seem to have any drillings in it to fit the HID's. Maybe I just have hi intensity bulbs fitted by the previous owner. Could higher intensity Bulbs blow a standard fuse (or a fuse built into the headlamp maybe)?

Sorry for all the questions, its just that I am an Engineer but not of the Electrical variety and do like to have a nose myself before resorting to the Stealerships as I have seen them referred to! They seem good to me for supplying all the little parts, but I guess they are expensive if you want them to fix your car.

Any help greatly appreciated, or if you could point me to some useful posts that might be able to help!

Cheers,

Justin.

Hi, which fuse is the one for the OSF electric window? My window has stuck 3" from the top, it's not struggling when I flick the switch, there's no reaction at all. I'm gonna try reinserting the fuse, if that doesn't work I'll try disconnecting the battery, after that it's 'phone a friend time'.

It is more likely to be a bad connection on the motor you could try taking the door card off and unplugging and reconnected them, then try the door contacts, you could even try disconnecting the battery for 30 mins and reconnect as you mentioned, long shot but free if it works!
