Hmmm... Just saw this on the 4Car website:

Hmmm No A2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But we have these:

Renault Avantime
Rover 800 Coupe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Subaru SVX 1992-97
Daimler Double-Six 1994-97
Citroen Xantia V6 3 Litre !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mercedes-Benz 300TE 4-Matic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cadillac Allante 1986-96 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maserati Quattroporte Series IV 1994-2001
Mercedes S600 and CL600 Coupes
Fiat Coupe

Where is the A2?!!! Has this person any idea of future classics and that this is Europe!? The Cadillac Allante?!! I ask you!!!

They've probably never even heard of the A2, just look at the list - it doesn't look like they can be bothered with anything less than £30k from new (well, apart from the Rover perhaps).

It looks like the conspiracy against the A2 is continuing in some quarters even after production has ceased! Ho-hum

OK, in my eyes, the Avantime, SVX & Fiat Coupe are definite future classics as they were affordable & ahead of their time.
I remember the SVX being launched when I was mid teens & I still lust after one nowadays - just because it's so different.
I almost bought a Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo but the only thing that put me off was the astronomical running costs. I bought a Punto HGT instead. Looking back I'd probably have been better off with the Coupe.
The Avantime is similar to the A2 in such that people don't understand it. I 've never wanted one of these but I can see where Renault were trying to go. They succeeded, the public failed.
