Gearbox problem - just 3rd gear

Having trouble with my gearbox, just 3rd gear strangely. Say 1 in every 20 gearchanges into 3rd will result in me grinding the gears. Not a major problem as I commute to work up the motorway in 5th most of the way but I have to be super careful once I get into town. All guidance greatly appreciated !

Sounds like your synchro is on its way out in third.One fix for that is the box out and do a refurb.If third is ropey I would be wary of the rest of your gears incase they are in similar condition.Replacement box £550 plus delivery etc looking at about £1000 :eek:

Second hand box with 33k £387.74 inc vat.Just checked that out
