Given Up Finding A A2 Tdi

I think I will now go for a Audi A4 1.9 TDI Estate, I would love a A2 but the only one I have seen is a 02 bronze red one with full sky roof ect 59000 but the dealer won't budge below £6995, which is way over priced in my mind.

Would still consider the right A2 but the A4 market is far more competitive and I might get more of a bargain here?

Anyone know any issues with the A4?

That's a good find Richard and has some very desireable extras on it.

i emailed him today, to see what level offer he would take, he replied no offers at the moment as he's had a lot of interest with viewings tomorrow.
that's a nice spec car so will go fairly soon.

I am going to look at a 2003 tdi tomorrow with 105,000 miles on the clock, full service history, same colour as the one in the advert, they have it up for sale at £5595, sounds promising.

Also I have been silly, there was a 04 A4 Quattro estate on ebay, high miles 120,000 and they were asking £7995 for it or best offer. I decided to test them with a cheeky offer of £6300 and they bloody accepted it. The car is one owner, full service history, new break pads and disks all round. The company buys work fleets and sells them on. It has 12 months MOT on it and I don't have to go through with the sale if I don't want to. So I am going to view this one first and if it is OK (my dad has had two of these and has a passat at the moment with the same engine) I will see if they will throw in some sort of insurance, so I can take it to my local garage and get them to give it a look over, easpecially the ball joints.

Fingers crossed I will be coming home with one of them tomorrow, I do prefer the A2, it's a much better looking car, my garage has told me they are both good cars, he said I would be safer buying a A2 on my own as the A4 has expensive problems, such as ball joints!

Right I'm off to bed, busy car search day ahead of me tomorrow!

did you see the 01/1.4se on ebay last week, i had a good chat with him guy was in skegness 55k ish miles fsh was a tidy car, he wanted 4 grand for it, bidding went just under 4 but the auction finished midday so he timed it wrong.
if it was nearer to me i'd have definately had a look, car looked honest and hpi check was clear.

if you don't mind high miles theres a siver tdi sport at £5.5k on ebay too(may be hard to sell when you put another 20 or so thou miles on the clock)
