Has anyone ever had problems opening the hood?

I pull the lever , which is quite loose and release it ,but nothing happens. It worked last week and for the past few months since I have owned the car , but for some reason the grille won't pop open today.

is there any other way to open the hood?

it's a "bonnet", please, the majority of owners are UK-based.

And no, there isn't another way in. You need to tease it open, and since this is essentially "breaking in", I'd prefer it not to be discussed in public.
