Has anyone had a trimmer recover their seats in leather / leather & alcantara?

As platinum leather and alcantara sports seats appear to be non-existent other than a set that our dear friends Blue Chip Spares are selling for £850, I’m starting to think it may be easier to have my heated swing grey leather sports seats recovered instead.

I would be interested to know very roughly how much I should expect to be charged.

Alcantara is €100+ per metre (the real stuff). It only stretches in one direction and there's a specific variant for seats. Dinamica and the other one (name I can't remember - Ecsaine is another name for the same thing as is Ultrasuede) are hard to find.
Audi's "platin hell" is not a standard Alcantara colour; it doesn't work with any of the standard colours.

Leather is "easier" but the good stuff is not cheap; a complete hide will be of similar price to the Alcantara you need.

If you're looking to make this cheaper than the replacement seats, I don't think that will work. Seat Surgeons might be able to offer you something.

£3k including steering wheel and door cards. We have just had the second set done and they look fab, as deproman would say ‘better than Audi original’

Hi,
Mine also was around the 3K plus mark and it was done as a one off way better than Audi, had the steering wheel, handbrake & gear stick done at same time. The seat bolsters where also rebuilt and off coarse the door cards where completely dismantled and redone.
I also done a black headlining with black switches.

Cheers
Steven

You did all that and did not add heated seats at the same time?

Looks stunning.

THESE are the only ones I’ve seen for sale (I’m 70% sure they’re platinum anyway)

One assumes they are not heated, so this would need to be added. So this then prompted the question as to would it cost to trim mine in either platinum leather or the leather / alcantara mix...
