Heated Mirrors - Reasonably Priced.

Tom,
I would like whatever the UK OEM fit was. I just want a heated version of what I have now. I think they are convex, but really don't know for sure.
Perhaps you can enlighten us, and tell us what's available, and cost comparisons.
Mac.

Hi Guys,

Heated Convex glasses on back order so around 4 days £57.50 left £64.00 right

Heated Flat glasses again on back order so around 4 days £53.00 left £52.00 right

Prices are based on order 5 orders.

Thanks

I understand the left (passenger) one to be convex, the right (driver) one to be flat but with a convex zone at the end for the blind-spot.

Update. Micks garage are refusing to refund my return postage stating that as my first email to them did not include notification that the part was for a LHD car it is all my fault.

As such they are also refusing to pay my original postage costs.

This company is a shower.

That's bollix, you should be protected under the distance selling /buying law unless it doesn't include Europe.
Only guessing here though.
Google might be your friend in this case.

Thanks all. Ordered from Micks Garage as I could not be doing with the German website. Too confusing. Sorry.

Your subsequent experience suggests that buying from a foreign company that doesn't bother to tell buyers which side drive the mirrors are intended for simply because they speak English was not perhaps the wisest course. We had in any case already established that Alkar only make A2 mirrors for LHD cars.

Hi @CreweAudi,

I'm not sure your post is exactly clear as you've not provided any Part No's for the mirrors.
Could you please confirm your best price on a group buy of 5 to 10 full sets (both sides) of heated wing mirrors (Part No's below)
It's also useful to advise if the price is inc. VAT and if there's any delivery charge.

Left hand side convex - 8Z2 857 535A
Right hand side aspherical wide-angle - 8Z2 857 536A

It might also be advantageous for us to understand the discount you are offering.

Many thanks
Jeff

It doesn't appear that @CreweAudi are coming back with part No's or definative costs, therefore i've enquired elsewhere for a x5 of cost the following genuine mirrors:

Left hand side convex - 8Z2 857 535A - £57 each
Right hand side aspherical wide-angle - 8Z2 857 536A - £61 each

Prices are inc. VAT and for ordering a minimum of 5 pieces.
Currently the mirrors are on back order so could take 2 weeks once order is placed.
Delivery is not included.

Just tidying up this thread.

Cheers
Jeff

Following what would normally be a fairly easy purchase of two heated mirrors from the recommended MICKGARAGE.com, what arrived was two heated mirrors for a left hand drive car. That and the backing had been put on in the wrong position and the shape to the glass did not fit.
To cut a long story short and multiple complaints later to micksgarage.com I am at present being blamed for purchasing the wrong product for my vehicle. Even though they only have one product listing for heated mirrors for an Audi A2.
I have being talking to a rather obtuse individual who keeps blaming me for not understanding how their website works.
I am also being blamed for using their find your product via it's registration number search facility. But I also used the other methods as well, just to make sure I did not purchase the wrong item by mistake, one of them being searching by the OEM product code to source the part I wanted. Oddly both ways of searching lead to the exact same product on their website. But I was told this is not the case and I am at fault for not understanding how their website works.
I was then told that I should have matched the glass from my car to the picture on their website so to make sure it would fit.
Basically I have been told that I should have known they were going to send me the wrong ill-fitting part and not bought the item from them. They have confirmed what I ordered was the correct part but just blaming me for it being wrong.
Irish logic?
I have sent the item back for a refund but they are steadfastly refusing to pay for the return postage.
I have given them my terms and conditions of correspondence which amounts to the cost of the return postage per correspondence. I did this in the very first email I sent them they never disputed it. They have been corresponding with me for 8 emails now so I will bill them for £80. Just making up an invoice right now.

My suggestion is do not use Micks garage for anything.

In good news. Inverness Audi notified me a couple of days ago my genuine Audi heated mirrors were in and I could come and collect them. They are the real deal and perfect, but should be at the price I paid. Tell you what I am gluing these on so no one steals them. That or I will sleep in the car with a baseball bat.

I don't know that I would regard post #26 from @PlasticMac as any sort of recommendation.

By the time you ordered from Mick's Garage, the discussion here had in fact established that the manufacturer concerned only made A2 mirrors for LHD cars so your purchase was doomed from the outset. I'm glad you've now got a genuine set of heated mirrors, and can only suggest it's time to cut your losses and move on regarding this.

I posted that Mick's stocked.mirror's as information only. If it was taken as an endorsement, I'm sorry. It was not intended to be.
Thanks @steve_c for his support.
Regards Mac.
