Heater / blower fan and the Webasto (might have two faults at once so might be an unusual question?!)

I have a TDI (with the climate panel) that is quite new to me. When I took it on a test drive earlier this year in warmer weather the heater was working a treat.

For a couple of reasons I haven't used the car for a while and now when I have gone to use it the heater is not working.

I knew it had a Webasto and knew that the Webasto wouldn't have kicked in on the test drive because the ambient temperature was quite warm. I've been researching Webasto issues on here but today it has dawned on me that there is absolutely no movement of air from the blowers. I was assuming that because the ambient temp was low and the Webasto was 'due' to be on that the climate module 'cut' the blowers rather than firing cold air out. But then I thought to set the temp to 'low,' and turn up the blower speed and the bars increased (but no air) and then the bars fall back to zero (which is, I have just learned, consistent with a blower motor or motor controller failure.)

Do I have two faults/issues or is a faulty Webasto stopping the blower fan from starting?

Ta in advance.

Fix the heater blower motor, lots of info on here, use Google search starting with A2OC.
Read the current Webasto thread for help with that. Consider getting a copy of VCDS Lite, abd a KKL lead.
Mac.
