Evening all

I signed up almost 10 years ago when I had my first A2 - the content has always been so good I've never needed to ask a question.

First A2 owned from 2009 @ 53k and sold back in 2015 @ 96k - named Mario kart!

Recently sold my Fabia Vrs and was looking for a project car and thought I'd go back to a familiar ride and picked up the new addition to the drive.

Only 2 owners before me and guy I brought it off had it for just shy of 13 years and covered a massive 26k in this time!

Bit of a shopping list to sort on the car, but it starts stops and drives.

Job's list
Replace exhaust flexi joint
Replace temp sensor
Replace plates with correctly spaced items
MoT
Purchase replacement wheels - 18's not my style!
New bonnet

Car has A2OC stickers in the window but I don't think he was an active member.

Thanks to all involved in the site for so much useful info!

you must have been on good roads, the tram lining is something that I hated on my 17" but did get use to. what I could not get use to was the ride on our pot holed roads and went back to 15" rims with a decent amount of side wall - my back has been in favor of the upgrade/downgrade depending on your point if view. I must admit that it is not quite as good on twisty roads, the 'turn in' is not as precise, still OK but not as good as the 17"
17" = 205/40X17 9 spoke A2 Sports wheels
15" = 195/55X15 A1 wheels

Welcome back, I returned fairly recently too, FSI probably wasn't the easiest model to start with though we now have two TDI's to use while the original FSI gets some TLC. Can't tell from the photos, is that a 75 or 90?

It's a 75. Almost went for a 90 but am trying to do this project on a budget!

I'm still looking at 90s though put off by the additional repair costs and higher purchase cost. Also not 'helped' by the fact our 75s both run depronman remaps, I really enjoy the power boost(mpg will improve when I stop having fun). ;)

We had two mint 90s and had probs with both I know it’s only personal but I would not entertain another ..why would you better to have bhc or amf engine with re map ...

Hmm? Remap wasn't on the list but....
Will try to resist as there's the possibility that the car may be gifted to my Son who turns 17 this year.

Priority is getting ready for MoT as well as swapping the wheels!
