Hello to everyone from Bude in Cornwall.

I have just added this as a second car that I hope we can keep as a forever car. It was purchased from a dealership in Hook, Hampshire that delivered it within 24 hours of purchase. I have given it a wash and vac and was surprised at how well all the trim etc looks as this is now 17 years old. I am pretty sure it’s a genuine colour storm, in 1.4 diesel with 140k on the clock. The rear seat is a three up, but I’d be astonished if you could actually get three fully formed adults in there - I’ll try it sometime. My immediate feelings are that it has been loved and looked after for most of its life up until fairly recently, as it has lots of minor injuries on every corner. I think I’m going to have to get the wheels refurbed as they are scuffed quite badly. The upper roll out parcel shelf is missing and there is one on its way from your favourite buying site (£25). It’s booked into my favourite local independent garage for a service and a ‘once over’. I paid £1490 for the car and for a piece of proper automotive history, I think that was fair.

Welcome to the forum, Peter, that's a lovely looking A2.

You'll probably want to upgrade your membership, which costs £2, in order to access the market here and get more favourable prices on those bits and pieces than you'd pay on any well-known auction sites.

Welcome to the club. A sprint blue colour storm is always nice to see.

As above, you will get much better priced parts (if needed) via the club marketplace.

Hi Peter, welcome to the club. Those colour storms blue's are nice head tuning a blue. Lot's of info and experts on the forum who will help you get your A2 in tip top shape.
Two things; does anyone out there know this car? Is there anyone in Cornwall (or even Devon) out there?
There is a map here https://www.a2oc.net/community/index.php?membersmap/ of members but it may not be up-to-date. Sometimes I think people move and forget to change the map but do change their location in their profile - the 2 are not linked.

You can click on the marker and then click on the user ID and see when they last visited and the profile location. Best right click and open in a new tab/window as if you open in the same tab and then go back to the map page then it resets to the whole UK and you have to zoom in again. Also, I found it didn't work in Firefox (maybe all the security & privacy settings I have). It did work in Chrome and Opera.

PS. How you add a marker I don't know. Just discovered my marker is gone but cannot see how to add it again.

My sister owns an A2 that looks exactly like that, which I delighted in driving yesterday. I love a Sprint Blue Colour.Storm.

Welcome to the club, Peter.

Cheers,

Tom

My personal choice of colour for the storm. I’m getting strangely attracted to one of these with the FSi engine. Even though it might be a BAD idea. ?

I also have a blue colour storm 1.4 tdi, sits lovely on the drive next to the red colour storm, what a delight it is to open the bedroom curtains in the morning to see them.
Welcome to this brilliant forum and happy motoring

You know a car has been looked after when fitted with mudflaps front and rear..heh.

Have exactly the same color storm just as TDI90.

Well we are not in Bude but we should have been this week. Always stay in Stratton for our Wedding Anniversary 17th May ( 34th yesterday ). Had to make do with Pasties by Post from Pengenna. Kept 2 in the freezer since January when Mrs had a Box Sent for my Birthday. Washed down with a drop of Cider, as we would have done on the beach. Kelley’s Ice Cream with Roddas Clotted Cream for afters. Later on we had a bottle of Camel Valley “ Champagne “ and bottles of Sharps Doom Bar.

Oh the A2 ! Ours is an Azure Blue 2003 1.4SE Petrol bought as an ex demo / sales car from Blackburn Audi at just under 12 months old / 9.000 Miles. It has been a great car. Now done 125,000 miles. Just arranging to take it to WOM Automotive for a New Clutch.

Regards,

Steve

I just noticed you are up the road from us, maybe could arrange a convoy to WOM as one of mine needs to go in for service and cambelt.

We were married in Stratton Church 34 years ago and I am a child of 66.... When you eventually make it down to Bude get in touch - the thrill of a pasty washed down with a Doom or two certainly doesn't disappear even when you live here!

We were often the last ones to leave The Tree Inn with Trevor Gliddon the Electrician when Bob & Emma Semple were the Owners. We were even at Trevors Funeral at the Church in Stratton, because it was during our May week down there. Our A2 is booked in at WOM for a New Clutch next week. The A2 has never been to Bude / Stratton. That trip is always in the A6 Avant as we always have a Great Dane in the back.

I ordered 12 Pasties by Post from Pengenna Pasties in Bude as soon as they opened up on Monday. They phoned twice this week to say they were delayed another day because they were so busy. Pasties were delivered to us here in Cumbria just in time for Lunch yesterday ( Thursday ). Great ! But not the same as buying them from the Shop in Bude, driving over to Widemouth Bay to eat them followed by a Can of Cider concealed in the Bag the Pasty came in !
