Help broken lower radiator hose fan regulator housing

Hi, I cracked thermostat housing when I removed gearbox, chanced it as I already replaced antifreeze, what a mistake! What was I thinking 15 year old plastic.... Gearbox barely touch it, but now I have hair line crack in housing and will leak under pressure.
Im in need of part number for replacement please, cant find it. Perhaps there is an upgrade or swap for othe VAG models. Please someone shed some light on this.
Cheers

Just checked housing cant actually see crack, was leaking a bit when I removed gearbox and has stopped, maybe I just have to replace o rings. Will check it again once gearbox is back in. Flywheel and clutch kit is arriving today finally after 7 days!

Can't advise more strongly, without hesitation go and buy a new thermo housing. Comes with thermostat already fitted and although expensive initially will save much heartache and grief later. Trying to fit new thermostats to brittle old plastic is a terrible waste of time and money. Get as many other cooling plastic bits as needed.

Good luck

Thermostat housing on 1.4 tdi is behind the alternator. That is some going to crack that with the gearbox!!!

Oops, its the blue fan regulator housing connected at lower radiator hose. Sorted now, took it off and the inner seal wasnt seated properly, so all good. Almost bought Audi A6 2.5 TDi unit and just join the pipe as it has a drain off valve. Maybe next time.

This is the part Im on about £80 new part number 8z0121049K, it has a inner plastic seat then rubber o ring, the inner seat moved when I took gearbox out. I consider myself lucky on this one, definitely wasnt going spend £80 if A6 one without drain is £14 new and 32mm alliminium joiner £7...
