Help - headlamp bulb replacement

Replacing bulb & seal

My first post as I'm new to the site. I've tried following the advice on changing the main bulb & have got as far as getting the headlamp unit out unclipping the wire clip holding the bulb in but I still can't get the bulb & holder past the clip. Doesn't help trying to do it in winter, will maybe have to stick the front of the car in the garage so I can spend a little while trying it in relative comfort.

Related to another post, the same headlamp is misting up & this seems to be because the seal is in poor condition compared to the other lamp. Can I get a new seal as the rest of the headlamp is fine? Asked in GSF Car Parts & they told me I'd need a new headlamp from Audi.

pull the wires off first and then the clip simply holds it in place - upside down "t" with the clip in the middle of the lower part of the "t". Make sense?

I have new Headlight bulbs thanks to the fitting guide on this thread and several other useful threads.

Only problem to deal with now is the sheared off frozen screw which holds the headlight casing. Any ideas to resolve this?

Surprised that you managed to sheer off one of these bolts, they are VERY chunky.
Can you email me a picture of the offending bolt, I might be able to help.

Had a similar thing on my XC90 last week, the bolt for the brake disk retainer sheered off. I had to drill it out and then re-tap with a thread tapper.

I just changed my headlight bulb and my dipped headlight looks as high beam on the driver side.. The other side looks good. What did I do wrong? Osram H7

Never mind I just had to reconnect the bulb and the connector. Took me more than an hour but it's done!
