Can anyone tell me what I need to do or give me a diagram to change the drivers side spring as I do not want to unscrew anything I think might be dangerous.

Thanks,

Stephen.

Er, you don't pick the easy jobs do you!

To change the drivers side front spring, you'll need to raise the car on an axel stand and remove the wheel, then undo the the drop link (best to have both front wheels off the ground for this), then undo the pinch bolt at the base of the damper.

Then move to the top and remove the brake reservoir to gain access to the 3 securing nuts at the top of the damper and then slide the assembly out and down.

Once out, you can swap springs and put everything back in the reverse order.

Sounds easy, but in practise, very hard!

Cheers,

Mike

No mate I have a knack for picking cars that have problems apparently!!

But thanks for your help I can always count on yourself for my a2 woes, hopefully if I'm accepted in to the police I can get all my repairs done in the poice workshop

But again mate thanks
