I drove an a4 cabrio for 4 days a fortnight ago it had dsg 7 spd box leather etc
Problem is the experience has spoiled somewhat my satisfaction when i drive te A2 whihc now seems like a pedal car in comparison.
Has anyonegot any suggestions how i can reframe my perceptions back to how they were prior to this experience before ido something stupid ?
Regards and thanks in advance

Go and drive a moped, but make sure that its raining when you do it. Then anything with a roof & four wheels is a benefit lol

Ive driven and owned a few Audis and they are all fab in my book;) The ideal solution is to sell your TDi90 for silly money, then source a mega spec A4 Cabrio DSG. Go On - you know you wanna!! I had a similar lust for a TT once upon a time but wife and common sense talked me out of it! Not ruling it out though. Mid life crisis is imminent at 37!!!

well not sure how to go about doing that as i don't get that feeling, i test drive new Audi's VW's and mercedes all day every day and i love driving them but there not mine most of them i cannot aford so it doesn't botter me i get back in my A2 or on my scooter and drive home. For me i suppose its different i get to drive them all the time so it doesn't have the same feeling

Still waiting for the new RS6 we've had the new S6(V10) thats AWSOME

Cheers Phil

thanks evryone
it sounds like phil's got a good job...
I was surrised at how practical the a4 cabrio was as id thoguuth the boot would be gone theres a litlle lever that yopu pull to relase a collapsible box that holds some of it so you stillhave a good boot and if you can stand having the roof on thenyouve got a full sized one .
With regrads to midlife crisis I have a little anecdote nothing much.
I tokk the cabrio to my school while the doors were getting done on the a2 i had it 4 days. I parked it in a very prominent part of the car park where i knew a lot of staff would see it. Nobody said anyhting though. On the lst day i came up stairs to see a bucnh of teachers with whom i have my differences from time to time.
Throwing the keys around i asked if anyone liked my new car to which point I got a massive amount of barbed comments and looks whihc said 'how canhe afford that'? One person said to me, 'Its a mid life crisis and a penis extension all rolled into one'.
'Well', i said, 'I've been needing one of them for about 18 years now so now I'm sorted!'

by the way i do know how to spell and punctuate just whenyoutype something always go wrong...

well they said it was dsg ... it was good whatever it was. Yes the resr visibility wasnt brilliant withone obvious exceptional factor
Tell you waht we did find after 4 days wife and i both had stiff backs
Regards Paul

whatever you drive or own someone will always have something better, if you had that cabrio you could drive a 997 cab and wonder were the audi went wrong, i recently drove a continetal gt and wondered were every other manufacturer had gone wrong(bar the thirst), moral of story, it's good to dream:) however if you think it will change your life maybe you should go for it?

I bought a brand new A4 cabrio in the summer of 2005 and at first I thought it was the best car I had ever owned. However after a few months of ownership in the dreary gloomy weather in Britain we realised that we hardly ever drove the car with the roof down thus pretty pointless. The A4 cabrio is in my opinion one of the classiest cars you can buy ( without spending stupid money ) but also one of the most boring. After 18 months of ownership we sold it and lost loads of money due to the depreciation and bought an A2 tdi.
