Help VOR A2 1.6FSI. Heater hose failure

Hi. I recently spent 4 hours on the hard shoulder of the A1(M) awaiting the RAC following what turned out to be a failure of a heater hose, which I now understand to be part number 8Z0 819 350D. The RAC guy expertly cut the pipe and inserted a section of copper pipe which got me mobile. Unfortunately the repair has failed. I know the pipe numbers have changed over time. Does anybody know the latest number for this pipe and suggest the best route to get a new one? My car is unfortunately off the road until I can find a replacement, so any help is much appreciated.

Scanning the other recent thread of which you are aware I think I understand the problem. My first thought is have you sought Tom's help at Crewe Audi?

I will look at my FSI tomorrow in the daylight on the off chance that I have separate pipes AND the part numbers are readable which is the best I can do for now.

Something that needs resolving as can see it will become a recurring question as more and more fail with age.

I looked as promised at what my FSI has got. Good and bad news.

Good news, I have seperate pipes, not the bound together version, with clear printed part numbers. Curiously there was a white sticker over the top pipe part number, completely white devoid of print now that was so brittle it fell apart when I touched it, but it probably nothing significant. Mine is a very late 55 plate FSI so it possibly suggests Audi dropped the 'single' bound together version in the later production era.

Bad news, I could not read the part numbers they are just out of view on the top/rear face when viewed from the front, I could only see the next line which looks like a batch number, <PAK > type of thing. Hard to get at and dark in there, tried squeezing my phone in there to take pictures but got nowhere except to lose my phone into the engine abyss but luckily caught on something and I could just reach it with fingertips!

I am sure that Tom will easily be able to help, but if not I will have a more serious effort to read the numbers if need be when appropriately dressed with illumination.

Hi Andy. I took your advice and have been in dialogue with Tom. He has been very responsive. Just waiting to confirm my order with him as I think I'll replace the two hoses at the same time. Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to have a look at your car, I really appreciate your efforts and interest. I'll upload a photo and pricing on receipt from Tom.
